I'm gonna get photos up here soon because I took a short trip up to la Sierra Norte for 2 days this past weekend to a little pueblo called Montejo de la Sierra. It was SO CUTE! So tiny surrounded by land and pastores and mountains in the distance and an obscene amount of cows. We stayed in a little mesón and the food in the restaurant was really good.. and it was just a really relaxing nice escape from the busy wetness of Madrid.
I'm going to FRANCE! this winter. I'm really excited. Greg's planning pretty much everything so I get to just go along for the ride.. which I'm more than happy to do because I trust a French person will know what to show me in his country, and I trust that I would not know what to see in his country, except for the Eiffel tower. Which wouldn't take up the whole 2-3 weeks we're going for anyway.
I got paid by my Instituto but somehow I'm already down to less than half. I don't understand how money goes so quickly. I digest food slower. I guess it's hard in the beginning of a month because with rent, abono (metro pass), I paid for this monthly yoga thing, that weekend trip, I accidentally went shopping the day I got paid because I felt rich (stupid).
My friend Meredith is visiting this weekend and my roomie's friend is also visiting and I think we're all making sushi tomorrow night. YEAH!!!!!
Anyway, time to go. I will add pictures soon once I get them. Soon I will add a video of me speaking French. I'm learning slowly. My sister said I will sound like a kind 2 year old when I meet Gregoire's family.
