Creative beggars

People are always asking for money on the streets of Madrid. Some of them dance, some of them sing. Today I saw a couple that had trained their cat to sit perfectly still on a piece of paper next to their money tray. I watched from afar for about 10 minutes and the cat did not move an inch. At first I was marvelously impressed. How do you train a cat to sit perfectly still? Then after a minute of pondering, I suddenly thought, what if that cat is injured, and so it can't move? That's not nearly as impressive. How dare you exploit a handicapped animal? And then I thought, maybe the money they're collecting is to help the cat. And then I thought, I need to start working.
